Thank you for registering your child for the 2024 Junior Popes Football Season. This is a great opportunity for young athletes to prepare for high school by working with high school coaches and players along with increasing their strength, speed, and overall athleticism. The Junior Popes program puts a huge focus on bettering the whole person. Along with expanding your child's football knowledge, the Junior Popes will also teach your child valuable life lessons. The Junior Popes are offering youth tackle football for incoming 5th through 8th grade boys in the greater Milwaukee area. Pius XI Catholic High School will offer a 5th/6th grade team and a 7th/8th grade team. Each team carries a maximum of 25 players and will play in the Greater Metro Milwaukee Youth Football League with a 7 game schedule.

Pius XI Catholic High School supplies all equipment necessary to participate in the football program with the exception of shoes, a padded girdle and mouth guards. Football practice will start at the beginning of August with three practices per week prior to and after school starts. All practices are located at Dyer Park, located two blocks west of Pius XI High School with the first official practice being August 8th. Games will be played on Saturday mornings starting in August and going through October. Parents will need to provide transportation to and from all practices and games. We encourage you to talk to other parents about joining these teams and the opportunities for carpooling to practices and games if needed.
Registration is taken on a “first come, first serve basis”; there are no tryouts and a limited number of participant openings. This registration must be complete and entire fee must be received by Pius XI Catholic High School no later than Friday July 14,2024, . The registration fee is $250.00 per football participant. A $100.00 volunteer deposit is required as well and will be given back to parents upon completion of their volunteer hours at the end of the season. Parents are encouraged to volunteer and assist in areas needed within the program. We also ask that all of the players participate in a fundraiser created by the Junior Popes Head Football Coach.
